Saladin's Castle.		The Rally members hike thru the castle.
St Simien Cathedral.		The Rally members crowd around the remains of the pillar where St Simeon (of "Simeon says" fame) spent so many years.
The Rally at Ugarit.		Walking thru the ruins of Ugarit where the oldest phonetic alphabet was found preserved on stone tablets. The tablets date  from 14th century  B.C.
		Many thanks to our tour guide Nabil Mallah who not only enlightened us on the many historical sights in Syria but also entertained us with his colorful sayings such as : "Religion is for God, Syria is for All." "Each minute is Gold" "I'm sure you are not Tourists, you are Traveler's!" and our favorite... "Your stay in Syria has exceeded your Utopian Expectations!" All on the Rally agreed that Nabil is the best tour guide that they have ever had and that he will be the yardstick against which all others will be measured.  Nabil, THANK YOU from all of us!!
