Our first vineyard was "Linos Winery" located outside
Omodos. |
|
We tasted numerous wines and all found a
favorite. We all especially liked the 5liter red wine as its easy to
store on a boat. |

Finally time for lunch in another of our
favorites "Takis Taverna" in the pretty hillside village of Vouni.
|
|
Chris our driver is a man of many
talents, here he acts as wine steward! We all appreciated
his extra efforts in ensuring we enjoyed his wonderful
country. |

Local residents and the parish priest in Omodos
relax at a cafe. We stopped here to visit the church and buy some
very special local village bread. |
|
Next a stop at a sweets factory for
some candied grapefruit! |

The 18 seater bus was very full of wine after
all our stops. Here Evelyn of Manifango sits perched on a case of
wine! |
|
Jean and Bill aboard Soleil Sans
Fin have lots of work to do before the next sail storing all
this wine in the bilges (And this was only from the Kykos
Tour)! |
