Many Thanks to Sea Island Travel and Tours Ltd of Limassol for their excellent tours of both Northern and Southern Cyprus.

 

First stop is St Barnabus Monastery.		Gold icons and wall paintings adorn the interior of this monastery.
The tomb of St Barnabus.		More ruins are accidently found on the site and are only partially unearthed.

The harbor of famugusta was originally the primary harbor on the island.		Rally members walk along the top of the ancient city walls and enjoy the views of the harbor ( left )and the Cathedral of St Nicholas ( background).
The Rally walks along the beautiful beach of Varosha, once the most famous resort in Cyprus and now..		all these highrise hotels are vacant and decaying. Varosha is on the UN dividing line and since 1974 has been a "no man's land".
